Theo Koster
Theo Koster (Emmeloord, 1952) followed his education at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and at the Academy for Arts in Arnhem. In the past 25 years he has developed a very distinctive style. Theo Koster's paintings and silkscreen prints are landscape-like with a clear use of color. Characteristic is his surface division. Rooms where something happens with great skies above water and horizon.
His choice of colours and dynamic paint treatment create a specific atmosphere in each individual artwork. He also uses collage techniques and graphical details. Theo Koster lives and works in The Hague and France. In France he also organizes workshops for the art enthusiasts.
